Korea Apostille is an official certificate that is issued by the US governmental agencies to authorize the use of the federal or state documents in Korea. The Apostille certificate validates the veracity of the officials’ signatures, not the content of the document. Every participating country in the Apostille Convention requires the Apostille certificate in order to legalize the use of foreign documents in all its official or private agencies. The process of obtaining an Apostille in the United States depends on many factors such as the document’s type and origin. Identifying the destination country is the first step to issue an Apostille. No governmental entity will process the Apostille certificate without pointing out the destination country first. Federal Documents are used to refer to the type of documents that are issued by any of the federal governmental agencies such as the FDA, USDA, FBI, and the EPA. The same procedures apply to the authentication of the federal document, except that there is an additional step, which is the authentication of the UD Department of State.
